Original or SlushAssist?

The original FS301UK has five presets — Slush, Frozen Cocktail, Frappé, Milkshake and Frozen Juice — and ten temperature levels. The FS351UK keeps the same 1.9-litre fill but replaces the presets with SlushAssist, which Ninja says senses the ingredients and adjusts the temperature itself.

XL or MAX?

They share the same six programmes (Frozen Juice, Frozen Cocktail, Frozen Cocktail Max, Slush, Milkshake and SlushAssist), 280 watts and a 20% alcohol limit. The difference is the vessel: 3.7 litres (2,840 ml fill) for the XL against 4.4 litres (3,310 ml fill) for the MAX. Ninja says both slush twice as fast as its FS3 series.

Twist

Two vessels of 1,420 ml each on one base. The FS701UK has fixed slanted spouts for twisting two flavours into one glass; the FS702UK adds straight spouts you can swap in.

The CREAMi is a different machine

The Ninja CREAMi Deluxe (NC501UK) has a Slushi programme, but it is an ice-cream maker that processes a base you have frozen in a tub. It doesn’t have the SLUSHi’s built-in freezer.

Rules that apply to every SLUSHi

  • Sugar: Ninja says drinks must include sugar or sugar alternatives; for the original it specifies at least 4%.
  • Alcohol: dilute spirits — the whole mix must stay within the model’s limit.
  • Dairy: the “frozen for up to 12 hours” claim excludes dairy recipes.

Buying in the UK

Ninja sells the range on its own UK site, and several models are on Amazon.co.uk. When we checked Amazon.co.uk on 4 October 2026, we found the original (FS301UK), the XL (FS601UK) and the Twist (FS701UK), but the only MAX listing we saw was the US model FS605SG. Make sure the model number ends in UK. See Ninja’s UK range.
