About Slush Maker
slush-maker.co.uk is a small, independent UK guide to home slush machines — the Ninja SLUSHi range and the other slush makers you can buy here — with recipes and plain-English safety advice.
Independent of every brand
slush-maker.co.uk is an independent guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to SharkNinja or any other manufacturer or retailer mentioned. Ninja and SLUSHi are trademarks of SharkNinja; Tower, Cuisinart and other brand names are trademarks of their respective owners.
We are not a shop and we are not the official site of any machine or brand. Where we link to Amazon.co.uk we may earn a commission (see our affiliate disclosure); that never changes what we write about a machine.
How we put the specs together
- Every figure on a machine page — capacity, programmes, alcohol and sugar limits, weight, size — comes from the maker’s own UK product pages or support articles. Each page lists its sources and the date we checked them.
- Freeze-time and “stays frozen for” figures are shown as the maker’s claim. Real times depend on what you pour in, how much, and how cold it is to start with.
- We have not lab-tested these machines ourselves, so we don’t publish star ratings or “best buy” awards. Where something isn’t published by the maker, we leave it blank rather than guess.
- We never copy Amazon prices, ratings or photos. Our machine pictures are our own generic line drawings or credited, freely licensed photos.
Recipes and safety
The recipes are our own, written to meet the makers’ minimum-sugar rules (for Ninja, at least 4% sugar). For frozen cocktails we work out the mixed strength and UK units from each ingredient’s ABV and volume using the NHS formula. Our safety & health guide summarises Food Standards Agency, NHS and UK Chief Medical Officers’ guidance, with links to the originals.
