Home slush machines compared
Capacity, programmes, alcohol limits and the makers’ freeze-time claims for every machine we cover. Figures come from the manufacturers’ own UK pages and support articles — each machine page lists its sources. Tick up to three machines to compare them side by side.

The kinds of machine, in one line each
- Countertop slush machine
- One clear vessel on a base with a built-in compressor: pour in a drink, it freezes and stirs it into slush.
- Twin-vessel slush machine
- Two vessels on one base, so two flavours (or a soft batch and a grown-up batch) can run side by side.
- Soft-serve & slush combo
- A compressor machine that switches between slush and soft-serve ice cream programmes.
- Freeze-first processor
- No built-in freezer: you freeze a base in a tub first, then the machine shaves and churns it.
- Commercial granita machine
- Large bowls (often 2 × 12 litres) for events, cafés and food vans — heavy, power-hungry and made for constant use. We don’t list a specific model of this type yet — see our commercial granita machine guide.
- Squeeze cup
- No power at all: a cup with a freezer-chilled core that you squeeze to turn a cold drink slushy. We don’t list a specific model of this type yet.
