Fruit slushes
Classic cherry slush
The seaside favourite made at home: cherry squash, water and enough sugar to slush properly.

Cola & fizzy
The simplest slush there is: pour in a full-sugar cola and press start. Diet cola won’t work — here’s why.
Fizzy drinks are exactly what the Slush settings are designed for — Ninja gives soda and lemonade as examples. The catch is sugar: diet, zero and “no sugar” colas have essentially none, and Ninja says sugar-free or low-sugar liquids won’t slush.
Allergens to watch: Usually none of the 14 regulated allergens — check the label. Always check the labels of the brands you use.
Look at the nutrition panel: you want at least 4 g of sugars per 100 ml (Ninja’s minimum) or 5 g for Tower. Full-sugar colas usually clear that; diet and zero versions show 0 g and will freeze icy or set off the machine’s low-sugar alert.
