Chocolate milk is one of Ninja’s own examples for the Milkshake setting. Making it from milk, chocolate sauce and a little sugar lets you be sure of the sugar level.

Ingredients

  • 1.35 litres whole milk
  • 150 ml chocolate sauce or syrup
  • 60 g caster sugar

Allergens to watch: Milk; chocolate sauces can contain soya or nuts — check the label. Always check the labels of the brands you use.

Method

  1. Warm a little of the milk and whisk in the sugar and chocolate sauce until smooth.
  2. Whisk in the rest of the milk and chill.
  3. Pour into the machine below the maximum fill line.
  4. Run the Milkshake setting and serve promptly.

Sugar check

60 g of caster sugar in 1,500 ml is 4 g per 100 ml on its own — right on Ninja’s minimum before you add the sugar in the chocolate sauce and the milk, which take it comfortably over.

Check your own mix in the sugar & units calculator.
